Biratnagar, Dec. 20: Secretary at the Ministry of Local Development Shanta Bahadur Shrestha on Thursday directed employees to work putting people’s concern in the centre.
After monitoring the performance of Morang District Development Committee, he stressed the civil service employees to work seriously to address people’s aspiration of development and good governance.
The government has been providing support to the local body having better performance in a way to address the public needs and priorities, Secretary Shrestha added.
He said the Ministry is mulling to awards the best performing District Development Committee (DDC) after assessing the functions and deliverables of the DDC.
On the occasion, Morang Local Development Officer Shiva Ram Pokharel briefed that demand-driven approach is adopted to select development works and all employees are genuinely working to make it the first DDC.. RSS
