Tributes paid to mandela

Kathmandu, Dec. 15: Nelson Mandela and his contribution to civic freedom was remembered at a programme organized by the Ganesh Man Singh Study Foundation here Sunday.

Speaking at the programme, former Ambassador Jayaraj Acharya said Mandela established human freedom in the world through peaceful struggle against the injustice of the white rulers and also carried the capacity to pardon his enemies.

Likewise, former Ambassador Nilamber Acharya said Mandela, who showed the world the path to equity, justice and human freedom, shared similarity with Ganesh Man Singh in various subjects and views.

Chairperson of the Foundation, Nabindra Raj Joshi said the demise of Mandela, who encouraged the entire world for freedom, is a big loss to the human rights sector.

Journalist Kunda Dixit said all should respect the ideals of Mandela, who sacrificed his life for equality of the humans. RSS
