Kathmandu, Dec. 13: The semifinal games under the Ncell Cup Football Championship are taking place from Saturday.
In the first semi-final, the Tribhuwan Army Club will play against the Boys Union Club at local Dasarath Stadium.
Tribhuwan Army Club, Sankata Club, Boys Union Club, and Manang-Marsyangdi Club had entered the final four of the Championship organized by All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
Boys Union made it to the semi-final by recording a surprise win against current national league holders Three Star Club on Thursday.
Jawalakhel Youth Club, Friends Club, Armed Police Force (APF) Club and Saraswati Youth Club failed to make it to the knock-out round while Himalayan Sherpa, Three Star and Machchhindra Club were out from the quarterfinal round.
The winner of the Championship will walk away with a cash prize of Rs. 1.5 million while the runner up will bag Rs. 700,000. The two loosing semi-finalists teams would get 150,000 each, medals, and certificates.
Similarly, best forward, mid-fielder, defender, goalkeeper and coach will win Rs. 75,000 each while the best player of the Championship will be awarded with a motorcycle. RSS
