JEMC employees nabbed

Bhaktapur, Dec. 11: Police on Wednesday nabbed 23 employees of Janak Education Materials Centre (JEMC) Limited on charge of vandalizing its office.

 Police arrested the employees allegedly vandalizing the JEMC office after a brawl with management of press section when 40 employees were denied attending the office since Tuesday.

 The management had the police arrested Press Section Chief Sudan Nepal all of a sudden when he approached the management to know the matter as to why the employees affiliated to the Nepal Independent Press Employees Union of the JEMC were barred for attending  the office, complained employees.

 The union associated employees have filed a case at the Labour Court seeking the implementation of the 17-point demand including increase of salary, allowance and facilities they had put forth before management two years back.

 The employees alleged the management of barring the attendance of employees taking up the issue of filing case in the labour court. RSS
