Chandranigahapur (Rautahat), Dec. 11: A constable of the Armed Police Force (APF) has landed in custody on the charge of beating a lawyer in Malangawa, the headquarters of Rautahat district, on Tuesday.
The constable identified as Krishna Poudel who was deputed on security duty at the District Administration Office had beaten lawyer Lalbabu Yadav. Yadav sustained injuries due to the beating.
Poudel was drunk when he assaulted Yadav. He beat Yadav when he was buying medicines at a drug store at local Banijya Bank Chowk in Gaur. The incident took place at 7.30 p.m. The locals caught hold of Poudel and handed him over to police. He has been kept in custody at the District Police Office awaiting action. RSS
