MINISTER POUDEL HOPEFUL OF TIMELY CONSTITUTION, POLITICAL STABILITY

Kathmandu, Dec. 7: Minister for Information and Communications Madhav Prasad Poudel has expressed his hope that the nation would see political stability with the successful completion of the Constituent Assembly (CA) election.

Addressing an ambulance handover ceremony organised by the Malshree Kafle Memorial Trust here Saturday, Minister Poudel said the CA election would prove a milestone for taking the country towards economic progress.

“A new government will be formed soon and will take its charge,” he said, adding the responsibility of the incumbent Council of Ministers will be over once the new CA is formed. He expressed his hope that new CA would be able to promulgate a people’s constitution on time.

Also speaking on the occasion, noted Nepali litterateur Kamalmani Dixit an ambulance gifted by the Malshree Trust for the Ramechhap people would bea great relief for the remote people who have been deprived of  health services due to the lack of transport facility. “Onwards, no patients in the Ramechhap remote parts may face untimely death in the absence of transport,” he added.

He suggested office bearers of Sarathi Youth Club Ramechhap, a receiver of an ambulance, operate the vehicle provided for the  cause of humanity appropriately.

Professor Suresh Raj Kafle has urged one and all to back the Malshree Trust which goal is solely social services. The Trust was instituted in 2066 BS memory of an MBBS student Malshree Kafle who faced untimely death in a boat capsize in the Karnali river on Chaita 20, 2965 BS.

Newly elected CA member from Ramechhap, Aangtawa Sherpa, civil society leader Dr Aruna Upreti, Trust Chairperson Nilima Kafle and patron Dr Rishi Kumar Kafle said the ambulance will be operated in memory of the late Malshree.

On the occasion, Minister Poudel, radio worker Krishna Tamrakar and litterateur Dixit donated Rs. 25,000 each to purchase an ambulance for the people of Gothpani VDC of the district.

Teacher Chandra Khadka announced to donate Rs. 10,000 for the same. RSS
