Chairman Regmi condoles Mandela’s demise

Kathmandu, Dec. 6: Chairman of the Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of Nelson Mandela, the former President of South Africa.

Sending a message of condolences to Mr Jacob Zuma, President of the Republic of South Africa, Chairman Regmi said with the demise of Mandela, the world has lost an inspirational crusader for freedom and human dignity. Mandela, the greatest son of South Africa, sacrificed his whole life for the cause of humanity against domination and apartheid to realize his cherished ideal of democratic and free society, Chairman Regmi said in a message.

At this hour of grief, on behalf of the people and government of Nepal and on his own,  the Chairman expressed  heartfelt condolences to Mr Zuma and to the people and the government of South Africa , as well as the members of the bereaved family and wished for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

Similarly, Minister for Foreign Affairs Madhav Prasad Ghimire has extended deep sorrow over the demise of South African former President and anti-apartheid leader Mandela.

Sending a message of condolences to the South Africa’s Minister for Foreign Relations, Ghimire has paid tributes to the late great leader Mandela and lauded his role against apartheid in South Africa.

He termed the demise of Mandela as an irreparable loss to the entire world and democracy. RSS
