Kathmandu, Dec. 6: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has expressed profound sadness over the demise of the father of South Africa, Nelson Mandela.
In a condolence message sent to South African President Jacob Zuma on Friday, President Dr Yadav has said that Nepal has lost a good friend and a champion of democracy and freedom with the passing away of Mandela, the former President of South Africa.
The President has also expressed heartfelt condolences to the people and the government of South Africa as well as to the members of the bereaved family on behalf of the people and government of Nepal and on his own.
Dr Yadav also wished that the departed soul may rest in eternal peace. RSS
