ONE BIG CAT RELEASED TO JUNGLE, TREATMENT OF ANOTHER HURT IS UNDERWAY

Ratnanagar (Chitwan), Dec. 4: Of the two wild cats taken under control from Madi of Chitwan three days ago, one has been released to the Chitwan National Park (CNP) jungle while treatment of other which was hurt in course of catching it is underway.

Two male tigers which were menacing the normal life at Gardi and Baghauda for the past few months were caught few days ago. A team of technicians from the CNP had caught them.

The first big cat was feared to enter the human settlement in search for food, whereas the second came to the village after being defeated by another tiger in fighting, according to CNP  Chief Veterinary Dr Kamal Gaire.

The Madi and Baghauda folks were terrorized due to the entry of wildlife into their localities. RSS
