Kathmandu, Dec. 2: The Constituent Assembly Court has ordered the newly-elected lawmaker under the first-past-the-post electoral system from Solukhumbu district Bal Bahadur KC and other defendants to be present before the court within 10 days.

A division bench of the Chairman of the Court Kalyan Shrestha and members Girish Chandra Lal and Sushila Karki issued the order on Monday.

KC’s nearest rival in the Constituent Assembly Gombu Sherpa had lodged a writ demanding an interim order or postpone the vote counts stating that vote count was conducted without the presence of Sherpa’s representatives. In the writ, Sherpa has also charged of rigging from the KC’s supporters. RSS
