Bharatpur Medical College gets SAARC level recognition

Chitwan, Nov. 30: College of Medical Sciences (Bharatpur Medical College), Bharatpur, has got the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) level recognition for surgery services.

A survey carried out by a group of the SAARC Surgical Care Society gave SAARC level recognition to the College as the services provided by it were found to be of high quality, said V Nataraj Prasad, Director of the College of Medical Sciences.

Speaking at a press conference organized at the hospital premises on Saturday, Director Prasad claimed the college has been the first Hospital in Nepal to get the SAARC level recognition.

Meanwhile, Dr. Pravin Mishra, Secretary at the Ministry of Health, is scheduled to provide the recognition letter amidst a function on Sunday. An experts’ team of different countries including Pakistan, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and India will attend the Sunday’s function. RSS
