75 percent Rural women suffering venereal disease

Kanchnapur, Nov. 30: More than 75 percent women from rural area of the district have been found suffering venereal diseases.

According to a survey conducted by the District Public Health Office during a health camp recently, the number of women suffering from the infection with sexual disease was growing.

Lack of personal hygiene, unsafe sex, infection in sexual organs, lack of nutrition were some among the reasons behind growing patients of the sexual diseases, said Pashupati Singh, a public health nurse.

The women had the symptoms as frothy vaginal discharge, itching, rashes on vagina, difficulty during intercourse and uterus ache.

According to nurse Singh, such problems could be treated once the people maintained personal hygiene, safe sex and had timely check up. RSS
