Government serious on economic issues: Finance Minister Koirala

Kathmandu, Nov. 30:  Finance Minister Shankar Prasad Koirala has said the government has taken the economic and commercial issues seriously.

Addressing a programme organized on the occasion of the 16^th anniversary of Society of Economic Journalists Nepal (SEJON), Minister Koirala said that the government was making efforts to make the economy dynamic and the economic index at present were positive. According to him, the government has managed the budget for the election in the local bodies.

On the occasion, he honoured journalists Shiva Satyal, Lokmani Rai and Kamal Parajuli with SEJON Journalism Award.

Similarly, Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Dr Yuvraj Khatiwada said a credible economic news helps direct nation’s economy to a right track.

Former chairmen of the SEJON were provided felicitation letter. A souvenir Arthaniti (economic policy) published by the SEJON was also released on the occasion. RSS
