Bhairahawa, Nov. 29: The Lumbini Buddhist University has marked its Ninth Anniversary on Friday organizing various programmes.
Educationists, social workers, students under the University, and local people, among others participated at programme.
Speaking at the programme, Chief Guest of the programme, CPN (UML) Secretary, and newly elected Constituent Assembly (CA) member, Bishnu Paudel, assured to provide every possible support from his position to the University
He said Lumbini and Buddhist philosophy could spread the message of peace across the globe.
Vice-chancellor of the University, Tri-Ratna Bajracharya, said the government failed to support the University as per need though it were the centre of faith to people all over the world.
Registrar Dr. Pitamber Lal Yadav, Dean Bhadraratna Bajracharya, among others stressed on the need of promoting the University and said that government should support in this campaign. RSS
