Twenty20 world cup qualifying: nepal sets a victory target of 91

Kathmandu, Nov. 29: Nepal has set a victory target of 91 runs before Afghanistan in the semi-final of the World Cup Twenty20 qualifying tournament underway in the United Arab Emirates.

Put into bat after loosing the toss on Friday, Nepal could muster only 90 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.

Sharad Veswakar was the only significant contributor to the Nepali total with 29 runs. Paras Khadka scored 12, Gyanendra Malla scored 14 while others failed to reached the double figure.

In reply, Afghanistan had scored 22 runs in 4 overs at the loss of 2 wickets as of writing of this news.

Nepal has however already qualified for the T20 World Cup 2014 to be held in Bangladesh. RSS
