BUTWAL REGIONAL TRADE FAIR FROM DEC. 24

Butwal, Nov. 29: A regional-level trade fair is going to be organised in Butwal from December 24 under the initiative of Butwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  The Federation of the Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry is facilitating the fair.

It is organising a regional trade fair every year and this year Butwal has been selected for the event.The event entitled “Industrial Trade, Agriculture and Tourism Promotion Expo -2070 BS” is expected to witness transactions of over Rs. 150 million and to be visited by over five hundred thousand people, according to BCCI member and Fair Publicity Committee Coordinator Hariprasad Aryal.

The  fair is to be co-sponsored by the District Development Committee, Rupandehi and Butwal Municipality.

This kind of fair is taken as important event for the development and promotion of industrial, tourism, agriculture and trade in the region, BCCI President and fair organising committee coordinator Surendra Prasad Shrestha said.”Investment in Lumbini, Prosperity in Nepal” is the theme of the fair. A 41-member main organising committee has been constituted to organise the fair which will continue until January 4, 2014.

Folk duet song competitions, and a singing competition (Voice of Butwal) will be other features of the fair which will be held at the Butwal Mandap, it is learnt. RSS
