Kathmandu, Nov. 26: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Wu Chuntai, has called on Nepali Congress Vice-President, Ram Chandra Poudel this morning.
During the meeting held at Poudel’s residence at Boharatar in the capital, Chinese Ambassador Chuntai congratulated Poudel for holding election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) successfully.
Ambassador Wu said that China wished Nepal would move ahead in the path of peace, development and stability by drafting a new constitution.
He said that China desired to see peace, stability and development works expedited in Nepal, said Poudel quoting the Chinese Ambassador.
On the occasion, the NC Vice-President appreciated the support provided by China in the election.
`Poudel said that they would conclude the new constitution drafting by forging consensus among political parties, adding they would focus their attention in taking the country towards economic prosperity.
He said the CA election was concluded successfully and added that they would be focused on constitution writing and taking forward the development works. RSS
