Voting begins at 7:00 am, voters enthusiastic

Kathmandu, Nov. 19: Voting started for the much awaited second CA election at 7:00 am today.

Voters and political party representatives are participating in the voting enthusiastically in a peaceful manner.Voters were lined up at Saraswoti Secondary School at Koteswor polling centre in the capital since 6:00 am and at Bishnudevi Secondary School at Satungal in Constituency No. 10 from 5:00 am.

The voters will not be allowed to carry mobiles, cameras and other electronic equipment in the poling booths. For security, Nepal Army helicopter will monitor in all the polling centers of the country.

There are separate lines for males and females and some polling centers are disabled friendly. Some 41 districts have model polling centres with women staff.  There are 300 temporary polling centres for proportional category for government employees.

For the first time, polling centers have been arranged also for elderly.Meanwhile, Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala voted in Constituency No. 3 in Banke district at 7:15 am as the first voter at the District Election Office centre.

After voting, he said the election will be a milestone for peace in the country through a new democratic constitution to address people’s rights.

NC Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel also voted as the first voter in Satyawati Higher Secondary polling centre at Damauli in Constituency No. 2 in Tanahu district. RSS
