Lamjung, Nov. 19: The Election Commission has canceled the candidacy of Gam Bahadur Tamang, a candidate from the Federal Republican Socialist Party in Lamjung Constituency No. 2 after it was proved he was a government employee.
The District Administration Office Manang had filed complaint at the Election Commission as he had given candidacy without resigning his post as he was staff of District Post Office Manang.
There is a provision that his candidacy will be canceled and he will be taken action as per the Civil Service Act 2049 BS. Resident of Taghring VDC- 1 of Lamjung, he is also the chairman of the Federal Republican Socialist Party, Lamjung. He had sent the resignation letter later.
Meanwhile, he has said he will go to Supreme Court against this decision saying it was conspiracy after he was sure to win the election.At a press conference at party office in Besisahar on Monday, he said it was deception against his party and will go to court for justice.
He was sad that his candidacy was canceled one day before election without giving him time for filing a case. RSS
