Biratnagar, Oct. 4: Finance Minister Shanker Prasad Koirala has claimed to reduce the long hours of loadshedding within three years.
At an interaction programmes with the business leaders of the eastern region in Biratnagar on Friday, Minister Koirala said that the government was expediting the construction works of the Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project with 456 megawatt and other hydropower projects are also in pipeline with private sector and foreign investments.
Koirala, who is also the Industry Minister, said that government was preparing to bring Industrial Business Act through ordinance for the development of industrial sector in the country.
He also called for the private sector’s support for the same.Minister Koirala was of the view that country’s current goal was to conduct the CA elections in a peaceful manner and take the country’s economy on correct track.
The government has allocated budget to purchase 300 bigha land in Biratnagar to construct the Special Industrial Zone, Minister Koirala added.
He said that the government was sensitive for the protection of tea and coffee farming that make the country’s identity in the world. RSS
