
Kathmandu, 23 Nov – The meeting of the Constitutional Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee (CPDCC) has been postponed indefinitely today.
The meeting was scheduled to be held at 10:00 am today as per an agreement reached among the three political parties— the Nepali Congress, CPN (UML) and UCPN (Maoist) on Saturday.
The committee secretary Mukunda Sharma said that the meeting was postponed as per the directive of the committee chair Dr Baburam Bhattarai.
The meeting was reportedly postponed as the 20 party-alliance led by UCPN (Maoist) objected the decision of three party to call the CPDCC meeting.
The three parties had agreed to call the meeting to end the deadlock seen in the committee after Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and Speaker Subas Chandra Nembang initiated for the same. RSS
