Kathmandu, Dec. 6: President of Nepali Congress, Sushil Koirala, and Chairman of Madheshi Janadhikar Forum (MJF)-Democratic, Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, held a meeting at Koirala’s residence in Maharajgunj, on Friday.
During the meeting the two leaders discussed about forging political consensus to form the government, to call the first meeting of the Constituent Assembly (CA) and Legislature-Parliament, and constitution writing among other contemporary issues, said Koirala’s personal aide, Laxman Dhakal.
At the meeting, Chairman Gachchhadar said that his party, MJF-Democratic, was committed to democracy and would support the government under the Nepali Congress’ leadership.
Leader Gachchhadar said, “It is not necessary to raise the issue of the President. The political parties should instead move ahead as per the interim constitution regarding the President’s term. RSS
