Malaria control campaign run in banke

Nepalgunj, Oct. 26: Stakeholders have stressed on running  integrated malaria control campaign by coordinating between  bodies concerned for controlling malaria as it can  quickly spread and take lives.

As per statistics, 65 districts are in the risk of malaria with 13 districts including Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sindhuli, Banke, Bardiya, Chitwan, Sarlahi, Nawalparasi, Kailali and Kanchanpur at high risk.

Solukhumbu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Manang, Mustang, Dolpa, Humla, Kalikot, Mugu and Sindhupalchok are malaria free districts.

Government has also made arrangement for malaria check up and treatment in Banke district as well.

It was spread in Fattepur, Holiya and Gangapur in 2006 and special campaign has been run there and no one has died after that.

In high risk are 20 VDCs and special campaign for control is run in Fattepur, Laxmanpur, Kalaphanta, Kohalpur and Rajhena. RSS
