Two arrested with tiger skin, bone

Bhimduttanagar, Feb 28: Police arrested two persons with a tiger skin and 20 kilograms of bones based on a tip-off last night from Punarbas Municipality-8 in Kanchanpur district.

Locals Ram Bahadur Rokaya and Khadak Khadka were arrested while smuggling the hide and bone of the big cat from Nepal-India border area, Police Sub-Inspector Birendra Johari said.

Police said that the skin and bones were imported from Sampurnanagar of India. Three Indian smugglers are learnt to have carried the things up to Nepal-India border from the Indian city.

The accused would be presented to the District Police Office today itself, Johari said. RSS
